We are now in Sunningdale, England playing in the first weekend for the Four Nationals Chess League, otherwise known as the 4ncl. The Four Nations refer to England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland (or maybe Northern Ireland) but there has never been a team from Ireland (ROI/Northern Ireland) or Scotland.
Gawain is playing for Guildford 1 and in the 1st round, he’ll be playing Ameet Ghasi, who has recently started to play again after a break from chess.
You can find all the information about pairings/live games on the 4ncl website. I’ll aim to take some pictures of the top games this weekend but I’m also playing in Division 2 for North East England so I won’t spend too long lingering.
