Leading the tournament is Grandmaster Sébastien Mazé from France with 4/4. Gawain is playing him currently in the 5th Round. 3 Rounds were played yesterday in which Ga drew against IM Mark Heidenfield and GM Ivan Cheparinov (known as the second to GM Veselin Topalov and beat IM Mark Quinn using his book “How to Beat the Sicilian”. None of the games were particularly interesting but Ga’s had a super fortress. See below.
