British Chess Championship – Round 6

Ok.I apologise in advance but I’m typing this during a very bumpy taxi ride out into the countryside. Terry Chapman had kindly invited us to dinner at his hotel this evening along with a few other chess players. All participants won their games with the host Terry drawing with GM Aaron Summerscale – good luck or what 🙂

Ga today played the Big Clamp against IM Richard Bates and managed to mate in 23 moves! Gawain currently shares 1st= with GM Mickey Adams and GM Nigel Short and next week will hopefully produce some fantastic games.

I’m back from the lovely dinner and with a nice keyboard but very tired so off to sleep soon. Tomorrow is the rest day and we plan a tennis match at 11am! (Fingers cross we get up). More news to follow about the results..
