Merry Christmas

Gawain doesn’t think Christmas has ended (On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.). We spent Christmas + Boxing Day playing poker and Carcasonne. We’ve eaten way too much including Kapiti Ice-Cream and lots of chocolate. It’s summertime in New Zealand but the weather in Wellington doesn’t reflect that of the whole country which had sunny blue skies (no snow here). We’re going to a bach on Tuesday and staying with friends in the Kapiti Coast before heading of to Sydney on New Year’s Day to play in the Australian Championship.
People always wonder what’s done at Christmas time down under. Well normally you’d go to the beach, have a bbq, pavlova, ice-cream of course.Get a tan e.t.c it might seem a bit weird but I was in the UK last year for Christmas and it just rained. I have to say it’s a bit strange listening to classic xmas tunes such as Let It Snow and of course seeing Santa in his thick red suit. In New Zealand we have the Pohutakawa tree our very own Christmas tree.
We wish everybody a Merry Christmas and hope

you all enjoyed your holiday.
